General Position Summary

The Store Keeper will be responsible for the proper management of food and non-food stock items at the warehouse/store, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, safe storage, and timely distribution of supplies required for the School Meal Programme

Job Description

Stock Management

• Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials (e.g. rice, lentils, oil, packaging, utensils).
• Properly received and stock School Replenishment Items, distribute them among the schools and keep proper record for compliance requirement.
• Ensure that stock is stored properly and safely to prevent spoilage, contamination, or damage.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to meet daily and weekly distribution plans.

Inventory & Documentation

• Maintain accurate inventory records (bin cards, stock cards, ledgers, etc.).
• Record all stock movements in both soft and hard formats.
• Enter all relevant stock information into designated software.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management.

Distribution & Coordination

• Prepare and issue materials and food items as per requisitions from central kitchen or schools.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff, packagers, Cleaners and School Sweepers for timely deliveries.
• Support loading/unloading and ensure proper packing and labeling.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and storage SOPs.
• Monitor expiry dates and ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) is followed.
• Report any damage, loss, or unusual stock movement to the supervisor immediately.

Support & Teamwork

• Assist in weekly/monthly stock counts, audits, and physical verification.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the storage area.
• Cooperate with monitoring, procurement, and kitchen teams.
