JOB DESCRIPTION:

To perform skilled duties in etching, stuffing, testing and troubleshooting of Printed Circuit Boards and devices in the Electronics Laboratory, assembling and installation of devices; and perform related work as required.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.

· Etching, stuffing and troubleshooting of Printed Circuit Boards

· Testing of devices and PCBs.

· Assembling of Devices

· Deployment of devices.

· Orders and maintains inventory, maintains records; works with vendors to obtain pricing and availability of needed parts; performs quality checks on newly delivered equipment to ensure proper operation

· Procurement of components and tools from market Skills:

· Expert in soldering circuit boards, SMD as well as DIP components

· Must know the use and operation of electronics components

· Must have the knowledge of common electronic circuits

· Must be able to design small circuits

· Must know how to use tools (Drill machine, Hack saw etc)

· Experience of electrical wiring is a plus point

Qualification

Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications as detailed below

Education: DAE Electronics

Experience: Minimum 6 months’ experience of soldering and repairing of PCBs
