Role Overview
An experienced Amazon Marketplace Manager with solid experience of selling on Amazon and eBay and strong SEO / online marketing knowledge. Extensive knowledge of the Amazon / ebay / Etsy Marketplace.
As the Amazon Marketplace Manager you will have full responsibility for online marketing and sales activities including: website management; social media management and; the management of company profile and pricing on third party sites such as Amazon and eBay. You will also oversee the marketing budget and use your analysis skills to provide ROI reports. Build and Maintain Global Amazon Marketplace Storefronts and Product Pages – Work closely with the Marketing, Design and Wholesale Sales teams to setup product pages, design compelling brand content, and list accurate technical specifications. Ensure products are listed, optimized and effective across all 3rd party platforms. Ensure MAP pricing is consistent and enforced (USA only). Manage account metrics across all 3rd party platforms ensuring we are delivering an excellent service.
Revenue Generation -Maintain and Increase revenue across 3rd party platforms in line with business plan. Product Merchandising Strategy – Developing an in-depth knowledge of the business and the product range to ensure that listings are always up to date with correct stock levels and also pricing information. Analyse sales data and ensure all products are generating sales
Design and Track ROI of Advertising – Work directly with E-commerce Manager to develop and track seasonal campaigns globally including PPC (Sponsored ads) and Headline Search ads.
Research and Outmaneuver Competitors – Consistently run SWOT analysis to enable an agile response to an ever-changing marketplace. Reporting on competitors’ promotions, advertising & content on a weekly basis.
Forecasting and Inventory Management – Work with our Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels in all Amazon fulfillment centers globally. Design plans to maximize sales of slow-selling stock and increase profit on the top-sellers.
Customer Reviews - Working closely with our Customer Service Department will be essential to ensure customer questions and issues are quickly resolved. Also, working with the Product Development and Marketing teams to launch products with early adopters so Amazon has honest, quality reviews live as products hit retailer’s shelves globally.
Build External Marketplace Network – Research, design and implement a global marketplace strategy beyond Amazon.
Skills Required The Amazon Marketplace Manager will ideally have the following experience:
· Previous experience of online sales through Amazon / eBay
· Strong online marketing skills – SEO being key
· Strong copy-writing skills
· Solid Social Media knowledge
