Responsibilities will include:

a)   Performance of Special Hematological Tests on share basis such, as Hb & Protein Electrophoresis and Bone Marrow tests and review of slides for these cases as needed to achieve a diagnosis on each case. Besides this, review of Anti-thrombin, Factor V Leiden, Lupus Anticoagulant & Pro C Global Tests.

b)   Written preparation, review and sign out of typed reports of these tests.

c)   To provide discussion, interpretation and counseling to patients and physician regarding their reports.

d)   Review of difficult cases and peripheral smears to the department and input on Quality Control, as needed.
