We are seeking a professional and experienced Billing Specialist who will be responsible for:  submitting claims, working assigned payer account receivable, submitting payer appeals and refund requests and various other billing specialist duties. 

Must-NOT-Have:

Any Managerial experience. We are not looking for office/team managers.

Must-Have:

• At least 3-5 years of Medical Billing Experience.
• Must have experience in complete AR.
• Have good knowledge of complete RCM.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of either "Dr. Chrono" or "Medisoft" is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Charges entry
• AR follow-ups.
• Eligibility and benefits verification.
• Payment posting.

• Must fully understand the billing cycle management to include all aspects of registration, billing, and coding.

• Must have working knowledge of CPT coding, HCSPCS coding, and ICD10 coding for medical services.
•  Understands the utilization of modifiers and other coding rules to include the AMA, CCI, and other coding organizations;
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment;
• Provides all necessary medical records attachments required by the insurance carrier;
• Works claims that have not been paid and ensures claims are clean for submission and re-submission to the insurance carriers;
•  Excellent customer service skills;
•  Proficient in completing all necessary tasks to finalize the billing process
